The Dallas Cowboys
I’ve been a Dallas Cowboys fan for the past three years. I fell in love with the team playing Madden NFL ‘11 on the Xbox throwing vertical passes to Miles Austin and clinching close games with Hail Marys.
Since then, I’ve seen the Cowboys come close and fall at the final obstacle twice. Their 2012 and 2013 seasons both ended at the hands of a divisional rival on their sixteenth game leaving them with an 8-8 record.
This year the Cowboys started 9-4 with three games left to play but despite their impressive record they’re no lock to make the playoffs and are one of a number of teams squabbling over the wildcard spots. The only sure way to win a playoff position is to win the division.
Today they took control of that division in a win over the Philadelphia Eagles, and it was a game worth staying up for. The last time the Eagles and Cowboys met was an embarrassment but today they showed up big time. It’s a good day to be a Cowboys fan.
