I’ve booked a last minute trip to Stockholm for the end of the month.
It was all a bit last minute, and definitely not very well planned or timed - but it’ll be fun to get away. I haven’t been abroad since before Covid. I’m quite excited to take photos of a different country and to potentially see some friends.
The weather is meant to be cold and wet, but I’m looking forward to exploring Stockholm all the same!
On my list of things to do and visit are:
- The Nobel Prize Museum
- Fotografiska the photography museum
- The metro, which is meant to be as much art as transportation
- Exploring the archipelago
- Monteliusvägen, a walk with (allegedly) beautiful views
- Riddarholmen, an island with views of City Hall
- Brunkebergstunneln, a tunnel through the city centre
- The Vasa Museum, a museum with a 17th century preserved ship
- Telefonplan tower at night
- The Ericsson Globe, to get a view of the city and sun in the Swedish Solar System planetary model
- The corner at Norrmalmstorgsgatan and Hamngatan, the birthplace of Stockholm Syndrome
- Fjällgatan, for another view of the city
- Bio Rio, for a breakfast film screening
- Hagaparken park
